The Damp Squib It Is...

So much featured $10 laptop from India has already become a household word and finally laptop's picture saw the elephant. But what is a laptop without keyboards and screens? Am I mistaken?

To my mind the talks have continued somewhere for 4 days, but after our report on the lamest unveiling in history yesterday this is already our third story, and in the case we haven't met troubles attaching the label "much-hyped" to this thing. Inasmuch as far-famed device isn't a laptop at all we take it over for replacing the word "much" with "horrendously over".

Timesofindia has called the $10 laptop on the button as. Down to date it remains incomprehensible under what signatures is it called a laptop, dead to rights no politicians would prefer the way things are. If to take the device at its face value it is a "storage device containing megabytes of data info which can be accessed by a user by connecting this device to a laptop." It seems to me I've got one. I spent $15 on an 8GB USB drive. Probably we failed to say that $10 laptop that was "transiently" a $20 laptop, in the final reckoning will be a $30 kajigger.

The device is permeated by "numerous" ports and it is obsignated to connect to the internet and that sort of thing, so I flatter myself that it will cost more than a USB drive.

Still these are anecdotal evidence about it and a whole lot of messy unfulfilled hype to clean off the floor before we can give a hoot about this thing again.
