Linux and SSD Options from Acer
Acer has vociferously made a statement and declared their SSD and Linux options for the new 10" Acer Aspire One. We need to admit that we felt dicky when the new Aspire One was announced last week with no options for anything other than XP for an OS and a 160GB HDD for storage. It is a bankrupt to all manner of understanding that Acer is intended to limit the options on the new netbook. Users got used to have optional benefit and not only the old 8.9" Aspire One but both Linux and SSD auxiliary equipment. Acer has enough time to make up the deficiency. According to sources at zdnet, Acer's public relations officer professed that the new Aspire One "will be available with XP or Linux, and HDD or SSD", and that "the Linux distribution would be Linpus." The SSD size is 16GB. At the very first setting the Aspire One will be deprived of the above-mentioned alternatives, moreover there is no available information on the Linux option's prices. What attaches significance to the 10" Aspire One is the same flexibility as far-famed 8.9" antecessor, still we got down to know about the loss of the second SD card slot. Acer puts the lack of slot down to the increase in standard storage sizes. The interlocutory cost index is around $426, but it trembles due to fluctuation of currency exchange rates.
