Eurocom Is Working Over Outthrow of the D900F Phantom i7
Eurocom, Canadian PC retailer is working over outthrow of the D900F Phantom i7, which is deserved "world's first" laptop with Intel's Core i7 processor recognition. In common with the Core i7 920, 940 and 965 quad core CPUs, designed for desktop PCs, the 17-inch workstation/gaming notebook will be equipped with the Intel X58 chipset, Nvidia's GeForce G280, 9800GTX, or Quadro FX3700 graphics solution with 1GB of video memory, up to 1.5TB of storage, and up to 8GB of DDR3 system memory. In the meantime optional Blu-ray optical drive and TV tuner can be found there. It is supposed to have a 12-cell battery and will operate either Windows Vista or Linux operating system. The provisional release date of the D900F Phantom i7 is scheduled for May 1, 2009. Price questions do not reveal meaningful and comprehensive information. Intel's latest "Nehalem" microarchitecture was taken as a basis for the Core i7. It's the successor to the Intel Core 2 CPU family. The characteristic property of the Core i7 is the "on-die" memory controller, which handle the liaison with computer's memory to the processor and thus providing more effective cooperation.
