Dual Core2009- the Latest Offspring from AMD
AMD is about to speed up their latest offspring; a chip with a dual random-access memory version- the Athlon Neo, which is expected by the second half of 2009.Fresh on the heels of the launch of a single core Athlon Neo processor, AMD is reportedly readying a dual core version as part of the new Congo platform. AMD is hanging out that this platform is intended for an adjusted entity of extremely portable notebooks, but not netbooks. The characteristic property of AMD is that it is highly simple-to-operate handheld device with the nominal price somewhere near $600. Remarkably, but HP Pavilion dv2 has begun its work straightforwardly with this, and it's brought to light that it is the very first source to display the new Athlon Neo chip that AMD put on sale last week. The chip runs at an Atom-like 1.6GHz, but AMD undertakes responsibilities for providing more impressive ubiquitous (and especially clearly evident) execution on laptops having applied this processor. Phil Hughes has brought out in an e-mail his show-me attitude, concerning the fact that dual-core Neo, which is hardly matched with netbooks, would be in all probability codenamed Conesus. Gee- have no tiny notion of it.
